Rebecca Giannelli is a proud mother of three, dedicated leader, lifelong resident, and passionate advocate for Glendale Heights.
With 20 years of experience in leadership roles, she has built a career focused on problem-solving, community engagement, and making meaningful change.
As President of the Marquardt District 15 Board of Education, Rebecca has worked tirelessly to improve transparency, accountability, and educational opportunities for local students. She has also played a key role in change management—fixing inefficiencies, improving processes, and ensuring better services for families and residents.
Professionally, Rebecca is a revenue cycle leader with deep expertise in overseeing finances, streamlining operations, and leading teams to achieve real results. Her experience managing budgets and complex systems translates directly into her commitment to responsible governance and fiscal responsibility for Glendale Heights.
Beyond her professional work, Rebecca is deeply involved in the community. She has been a strong advocate for working families, a volunteer in nonprofit leadership, and a supporter of programs that bring people together. A proud mom of three, a St. Isidore parishioner and catechist, and a lifelong resident, she knows firsthand the challenges and opportunities facing Glendale Heights.
Rebecca is currently completing her B.A. in Political Science at Northern Illinois University, reinforcing her dedication to lifelong learning and effective leadership.
Now, she’s running for Village President as a Champion for Glendale Heights—committed to breaking the cycle and building a stronger Glendale Heights by revitalizing businesses, improving efficiency in village operations, and fostering a true sense of community with safer neighborhoods, strong schools, and inclusive public spaces.
For Rebecca, being a Champion for Glendale Heights means putting residents first, making government more accessible, and ensuring every family, business, and individual has the opportunities they deserve. She believes in seeing a need and filling a need, and she’s ready to bring that commitment to the residents of Glendale Heights.
